Tour: DAY SIX

Well, we are at a dope clothing boutique called RUMORS in Richmond, VA, where we will be playing tonight. reminds me a lot of Etoile but with less vintage. Wheat and I rode by a huge monument of Robert E. Lee today, gotta love the south. Apparently it's supposed to rise again. Still waiting. Wheat has been photo documenting a lot of the tour, as well as a lot of girls for his personal enjoyment. He and Kyle have been on a Canadian Mist binge thus far culminating in Kyle allowing me to Joe Strummer his hair last night in the hotel. eat yer heart out Alchemy. shit looks good. As some of you know, we brought along all of our bikes; 5 in all, and it's been a blast getting to ride around every city with our own agenda. However, yesterday as we were leaving charlotte the bike rack on the back of the van slipped and broke itself and the back window. $100 dollars at a Wal-Mart later, we have a new and improved bike rack that no longer sits on the back window.
All of the shows have been going great so far with awesome turnouts and cool folks. By far the best tour we had(knock on wood), although I do still miss Yardley and Brian coming. probably the only thing that could make this better.
This week we venture into the Northeast and leave the warm embrace of southern hospitality. More folded arms and "i've seen this before" faces staring back at you. always a tough sell. If any of you bones, or reader of bones, have any friends in Washington,D.C., Philly, New York, or Boston, try to get them out to one of our shows. especially D.C., for we know not a soul up in that bitch.
we all miss you guys and wish we could experience this with all the bones, that's why I'm trying to keep you up to date as well as I can. Still kind of a bitch finding a good spot to chill and write with a decent wireless signal.
Oh, and if you ever get a chance definitely stop through Richmond. Old southern history in every building and, like I said, one of the last stops before the south fades to north. be well. BAH BAH!!!

Things are running smoothly so far. Everyone's getting along and we all have our bikes with us, however, we haven't had the chance to use them at all as of yet. bummer. Not having an I.D. really sucks. I am truly a fucking idiot for not getting my shit together and getting an I.D. It's really starting to bum me out, seeing as I am limiting myself to what I can do with everyone and where i can go. We are in Asheville, NC right now. Home of the Biltmore Estate and the Black Mountain...and a bunch of fucking hippies "locked" in a dread contest. Really beautiful place that I would never want to stay in. I did just eat one of the best burgers i have ever had...a patty filled with bacon and cheese and topped with a yellow tomato and spring greens. all for free. the New French Bar is awesome in that respect, very tiny though. Well, i will try to keep everyone as up to date as possible based on wireless availability. Oh, last night we ate weed cookies and went out of our minds..first time I think I've come to freaking out in a long time..probably since high school. That shit was unreal. I was SO happy when I woke up today sober and went into the Register kitchen for steak and eggs. So far no money spent on cigarettes or booze. A definite plus. More to come..

Down East

So Maine was sweet. Highs in the 80's, lows in the high 50's and it only rained once. Mark, Brandon and my self did pretty much nothing. Wake up early and eat breakfeast, lounge about all day by the lake swimming here and there or go into town to get food, beer, ect. Nights were sitting around the fire on the shore drinking whiskey and beer, then drunk swimming. Super relaxing, no stress, no bars, no people, no nothin'.

Uh-Oh Tokyo!!!

Big Time!! What? Are you serious? Yeah, these are my friends from Tokyo and they are back. Some of you were lucky enough to catch their show at the Social last time they were in town and saw first hand how bad they slayed the crowd. Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re is a rock trio that plays with as much force as a funnel cloud wrapped in a hurricane. It is a quality time and I really hope you all come and hang out at the show. They are touring around with another Japanese Rock act called The Captains and they look to be as awesome as the hype as well.

A party is being planned and we are going to just throw down after the show at the Social. We are working out music and drinks, and other shenanigans... but both bands are excited to hang with all of you crazy big time Americans and drink the drinks and have big laughs.

No cameras or lights were used. Instead two technologies were used to capture 3D images: Geometric Informatics and Velodyne LIDAR. Geometric Informatics scanning systems produce structured light to capture 3D images at close proximity, while a Velodyne Lidar system that uses multiple lasers is used to capture large environments such as landscapes. In this video, 64 lasers rotating and shooting in a 360 degree radius 900 times per minute produced all the exterior scenes.

New VW gets 282 miles to the gallon

With gas prices going through the roof and regulators requiring cars to be ever more miserly, Volkswagen is bringing new meaning to the term "fuel efficiency" with a bullet-shaped microcar that gets a stunning 282 mpg.

Volkswagen's had its super-thrifty One-Liter Car concept vehicle -- so named because that's how much fuel it needs to go 100 kilometers -- stashed away for six years. The body's made of carbon fiber to minimize weight (the entire car weighs just 660 pounds) and company execs didn't expect the material to become cheap enough to produce the car until 2012.

But VW's decided to build the car two years ahead of schedule.

Dear Nerds (something new for you)

So as if watching Adam and Eric crush Rubik's records week after week wasn't satisfying enough, I noticed for those of us not willing to dedicate ourselves to the hours of twisting and turning of wrists for anything other then shameful acts alone... that we tend to scan the net for related Rubik's cube paraphernalia to show support. Well... I am no different, and found this new item that might make things a little harder. Especially since I don't think either Eric or Adam know where Central America is. Someone besides me buy this for them to play with.

Oh and does anyone else totally want to plan a HUGE Rubik's showdown one month from now between the two of these guys. Pick your side. Draw a line in the sand. Put money down on one of these horses and just start the taunting. Could be fun. I have my money on Foster his hands don't sweat as much. I say we make this happen. How bout July 22nd at the Matador upstairs. I have $20 on Foster, who is holding the money? Preston? I'll make the poster.
